You are cordially invited to attend the 10th China Airport Passenger Experience Summit 2019 which is organized by Summit Asia Events and will take place in Shanghai on May 15-17, 2019.

The Summit, themed “Technovation redefines the end-to-end passenger experience”, focuses on the latest developments and future trends relating to each key stage of the passenger journey, including pre-travel, check-in and validation, bag drop, security, immigration, boarding and arrivals.

According to the news from the National Civil Aviation Work Conference which was held in Beijing in early January, the Chinese civil aviation industry witnessed a passenger throughout of 610 million in 2018, of which 225 million traveling in a “paperless” way, representing about two-fifths of the total. By 2018, there has already had 32 Chinese airports with an annual passenger throughput of over 10 million, having the capacity of empowering passengers to go through the airport process in a digital way. The National Civil Aviation Work Conference requires to expand the “paperless” travel service from domestic flights to international flights, and to encourage the developments of facial recognition, self-service check-in, self-service bag drop and intelligent response systems. It also encourages the integration of new technologies including AI and biometrics with the security work of civil aviation, and to expand the “differentiated security check” pilots to more airports. It emphasizes the importance of developing the baggage tracking system, especially with the RFID technology.

As the Civil Aviation Administration of China is attaching an increasing importance to the utilization of new technologies, it is expected that the “paperless” travel experience of passengers will be entering into a new stage.

It is against this background that the 10th China Airport Passenger Experience Summit 2019 is being held. Airlines and airports will have the opportunity to share their ideas and best practices of adapting to the new industry change.
