Conference Overview

You are cordially invited to participate in the 11th China Airport Passenger Experience Summit 2020, which is organized by Summit Asia Events and will take place in Shanghai on September 17.

The annual China Airport Passenger Experience Summit which started in 2009, has been successfully held in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Kunming, mainly in partnership with the local airport operators and their home airlines. The Summit focuses on the latest developments and future trends relating to each key stage of the passenger journey, including pre-travel, check-in and validation, bag drop, security, immigration, boarding and arrivals. It aims to help increase the operational efficiency and the service quality of the Chinese civil aviation industry while improving the passenger experience.

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) is attaching great importance to utilizing new technologies in the airports. In November 2019, it published a guiding opinion on promoting the application of new technologies in airports, which aims for the universal application of new technologies in the Chinese airports by 2035.

In 2019, the service highlights that the Chinese airports offered include 5G, RFID and electronic boarding pass, baggage interline, temporary electronic boarding token, and off-airport check-in. other key areas of concern for airport passenger services include facial recognition, blockchain, AI, and cloud computing.

At this year’s Summit, airlines and airports will have the opportunity of sharing their ideas and best practices of adapting to the new industry change. Technology suppliers will be able to showcase their latest products to help airlines and airports improve passenger experience, reduce cost and increase operational efficiency.

The sudden outbreak of COVID-19 this year make it more important to reduce airport queues and congestions. Social distancing and contactless self-service will be high on agenda. This will result in the wide use of self-service facilities at airports.

Your time is valuable, as are your next strategy decisions. We encourage you to take the time out of your busy schedule to attend and we assure that you will be rewarded for making the effort to visit this industry leading show in China.
