Conference Overview

The annual China Airport Passenger Experience Summit which started in 2009, has been successfully held in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Kunming, mainly in partnership with the local airport operators and their home airlines. The Summit focuses on the latest developments and future trends relating to each key stage of the passenger journey, including pre-travel, check-in and validation, bag drop, security, immigration, boarding and arrivals. It aims to help increase the operational efficiency and the service quality of the Chinese civil aviation industry while improving the passenger experience.

At this year’s Summit, airlines and airports will have the opportunity of sharing their ideas and best practices of adapting to the new industry change. Technology suppliers will be able to showcase their latest products to help airlines and airports improve passenger experience, reduce cost and increase operational efficiency.

The sudden outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic provides a test for the application of new technologies in the civil aviation industry. The growth of AI, big data, cloud computing, the application of contactless technologies including paperless travel, smart security check, and boarding with biometrics has not only reduced the spread of the corona virus but also changed the path of travelling that passengers have been accustomed to. Passengers will be more inclined to try smart travel.
