Conference Overview

You are cordially invited to take part in the 6th China Low Cost Carriers Summit 2019 which will take place in Shanghai on October 24-25. The Summit will be the largest annual gathering of senior management and decision makers of LCCs, regional airlines and hybrid airlines in China. It is expected that approximately 300 people from airlines, airports, OTAs, travel agencies, investment banks, consultancies, technology providers and other industry stakeholders in more than 30 countries and territories will be attending.

The annual China Low Cost Carriers Summit was jointly initiated by the Transport Commission of Shenzhen Municipality and Spring Airlines in 2014 and has five years of recorded success so far in Shenzhen, Shanghai and Chongqing.

Low cost airlines have become important players in the Chinese air transport market in recent years. Although the Chinese low cost aviation market is growing, it is still far behind those in North America, Europe, Southeast Asia and South Korea. At present, the low cost aviation market only accounts for about 9% of the total aviation market in China. This figure, however, is expected to increase to 15% by 2020 and 30% by 2030, based on the forecast of industry experts.

This year’s Summit will take place in Shanghai, China’s economic and financial center as well as the leading international air hub in the country. A number of domestic and international LCCs already have operations at Shanghai’s Hongqiao and Pudong airports. The reconstructions of Hongqiao and Pudong are underway which is expected to provide vast room of development for airlines including LCCs.

Your time is valuable, as are your next strategy decisions. We encourage you to take the time out of your busy schedule to attend the 6th China Low Cost Carriers Summit 2019 and we assure that you will be rewarded for making the effort to visit this industry leading show in China.
