You are cordially invited to participate in the 8th China Airport Passenger Experience Summit taking place in Shanghai on May 10th-11th, 2017. The Summit is organized by Summit Asia Events and hosted by China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airport Authority. It focuses on addressing the key concerns of passengers during their journey at the airport. Issues on the entire process will be discussed, including, but not limited to, passenger problems prior to their arrival at the airport, check-in procedures, baggage delivery, security and customs, and flight boarding.

 

The theme of this year’s conference is “New technologies transform customer service and passenger experience”. As the number of civil aviation passengers is increasing rapidly in China, it becomes pressing for the Chinese airlines and airports to process their passengers more quickly and efficiently in addition to the expansion and reconstruction of airport infrastructures. In this way, technology helps. A latest example is that from the start of January 1st, 2017, China officially approved airports to adopt the ID card check-in system on domestic flights, meaning passengers would be allowed go through security checks with just their ID cards.

 

During the course of the event, enlightening case studies, panel discussions, brainstorming and networking opportunities will be there. It will provide an excellent platform for airlines, airports and the industry’s most innovative solution providers to gather together to discuss about the improvement of customer experience, the reduction of cost and the increase in operational efficiency. 

 

This year’s event is the eighth edition but it was previously known as “The China Airport Check-In Summit”. The name was changed to the current one from the sixth edition on so as to better reflect the whole airport process of passengers from start to finish.
