Chinese Domestic Airlines Introduced 22 New Plane in May

According to Civil Aviation Data Analysis System (CADAS), Chinese domestic airlines have newly introduced 22 aircraft in May, and the total number of aircraft in service reached 3013.

Specifically, China Eastern Airlines introduced 3 aircraft, including one A330, one A320 and its 18th Boeing 777-300ER. Hainan Airlines received 2 brand-new 787-9s, including the carrier's No.3 "Kung Fu Panda" coating aircraft. The Hainan based airlines now possesses 11 787-9s and 10 787-800s in total. Besides, Spring Airlines and China Southern Airlines also welcomed 2 new aircraft respectively in May.

China Southern Airlines' last 737-300 passenger liner retired in the very month, marking the end of an era of 737-300 passenger jets in domestic civil aviation industry.

At present, for domestic cargo carriers, represented by SF Airlines, China Post Air and Yangtze River Express, there are 49 737-300 freighters in all.

By the end of last month, the total airline fleet in Mainland China has reached 3013.
